We recognise that your goods are valuable to you and that our customers need financial protection and peace of mind. So at Why Wait Removals, we offer insurance designed specifically for moving.

We offer a range of insurances including:

Transit Insurance
This will cover your goods whilst they are in our care and control, against loss or damage (subject to the policy terms and conditions).

Storage Insurance
If all or part of your removal includes going into our secure storage facility, then all goods are covered by our storage insurance.

Both Transit Insurance and Storage Insurance (if required) will be included in your removal cost and detailed in your quotation. Our insurance summary document is available here.

Late Key Protection
Sometimes events take place that are out of our control, such as not being able to gain access to your new property at the agreed completion time. If your moving team is delayed due to access issues there may be additional costs incurred.

Why Wait Removals is now offering a Late Key Protection that will provide you with peace of mind if there is a delay in access to your new property. Late Key Protection gives you the flexibility of hours of additional waiting time from the completion of your property. This means your Why Wait Removals crew will be on site to complete the removal until 7pm or until the crew has used up their hours, according to the Working Time Directive.

Declared Value of Goods
It is your responsibility to estimate the value of your goods. The value advised to insurers must be enough to replace your goods. So it's always a good idea to compare values in retail outlets to ensure your estimate is correct. You may have recently provided this information to your home contents insurer.


Our insurance policy is underwritten by certain underwriters at Lloyds who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority and is operated under fully delegated authority by PoundGates & Company Ltd who are also authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
